Dear Parents/Guardians, We are pleased to inform you that we will be hosting the Noetic Learning Math Contest (NLMC) at [school name] this year and your child has been selected to participate! The NLMC is one of the largest math contests in the United States for elementary and middle school students. Every year, more than 30,000 students across the country participate in the contest to compete against each other. The goal of the NLMC is to develop students' problem-solving skills so that they will become better thinkers and they will be better prepared for advanced STEM studies. During the test, students will apply their problem-solving skills and math concepts learned in the classroom to solve twenty creative math problems independently. The top scorer of each team will earn a Team Winner medal. In addition, the top 10% of students in the nation will earn the National Honor Roll medals and the top 50% of students in the nation will earn the Honorable Mention ribbons.
