NLMC 2020 Fall Online

Please read the following before you proceed:

1) What you need for the online test:

• An uninterrupted period of at least 50 minutes in a quiet place.
• A computer (Windows OS or Mac OS or Chrome OS), an up-to-date version of browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Safari), and high-speed internet access.
• Scratch paper and pencils.

2) The length of the test: You will be given 50 minutes to solve 20 problems. The system will give you a 10-minute-remaining warning message and a 5-minute-remaining warning message. Your questions will be submitted when time runs out or when you click the Submit button.

3) Acceptable answer formats: Our online test is not a multiple choice test. It accepts free response answers. However, only enter numbers (2, 6.5, 100) or single letters (A, B, C, or D) as your answers. Here are some examples with acceptable and non-acceptable answer formats.

Examples of acceptable answers:

• 23,333
• B
• 2.341

Examples of non-acceptable answers:

• 6 7 : Do not place spaces in between digits. An acceptable answer is 67.
• 4/5 : Fractions are not accepted. An acceptable answer is 0.8.
• 45 books : Do not enter units. An acceptable answer is 45.

4) Honesty:

• Do not use calculators or books.
• Do not look up any information on the internet.
• Do not receive help from another person or give help to another person.
• Do not discuss or share problems on the test until after November 26, 2020.
